BusNSW is made up of 3 legal entities, and one of them is a cooperative society (trading as Bus Signs +) which sells regulatory and other signs for members buses at an affordable price. The Bus and Coach Co-Op Society is a co-operative limited by shares, incorporated and domiciled in New South Wales. Members of the Coop receive a $2 share as part of the rules under the Co-operatives Act 1992.
Coop shares are not traded and do not change in value and share certificates are not issued. They are given a nominal $2 value to comply with the rules of the Coop. This nominal share value is included in the BusNSW fee.
